Complete product development
Facilitation of the entire product development process, from conceptualisation, new product development briefs, concept research, formulation development, regulatory and packaging, product testing including stability, dermatological, preservative efficacy testing (PET) to scale up.
Cost targeting
A detailed ingredient database includes indicative costs for all ingredients in use, whilst skinterest’s experience with contract manufacturing has led to the creation of reverse/forward costing calculators that can reliably estimate both target formulation cost for a project (reverse costing) and unit costs (forward costing).
Quality by design
All formulations are inherently unique and consequently untested. Skinterest’s formulation development knowledge, tools and processes serve to instil the principles of Quality by Design (QbD) to optimise product performance and stability wherever possible, minimising the potential for issues during scale-up and on shelf.
Troubleshooting
Extensive formulation knowledge, research capabilities and related tools enables rapid resolution of formulation-related performance issues, quality and stability-related matters arising during formulation development, scale-up, IP transfers or products in market. Formulation development
