THE MARIAN CENTRE

The Marian Centre in Lewisham is one of 11 Vinnies refuges for women and their children escaping domestic violence in NSW. This essential service provides long-term support and friendship at what can be an extremely vulnerable time for women and children, with the average stay being between 4-5 months.  LEARN MORE. 

Skinterest has helped The Marian Centre try and make Christmas as special as possible for their 22 occupants. 

THE ENCORESHIP

Did you know:

• Despite having a higher degree of educational attainment women earn 14.1% less than male postgraduate graduates?
• Women make up only 38.4% of Australia’s full-time employees? 
• Women account for only 19.4% of Australian CEO roles? 
• Women have 23.4% less superannuation than men at retirement age?

The Encoreship is an initiative created by Alpha-H skincare to provide employment opportunities for women returning to the workforce.

Keeping women in the workforce and enabling those who want to work is key to minimising gender inequality and increasing female financial independence and economic security.

In 2023 skinterest offered 2 roles with The Encoreship. We are delighted to partner with like-minded organisations dedicated to making the world better for women. LEARN MORE.

 skinterest also believes that change begins at home so in addition to supporting the above causes:

• The skinterest office and laboratory is solar powered and uses recycled packaging and materials where possible
• All our ingredients are acquired via transparent and ethical channels from like-minded suppliers
• We stand against ingredient fearmongering, greenwashing and misinformation and are committed to using our blog to educate and inform
