founder and technical director
Saul has spent over two decades working alongside Australia’s most respected manufacturers and developers of cosmetics, skin care, hair care, personal care and sunscreen.
In 2017 Saul saw the need for an independent, private, full featured, research and development laboratory and skinterest was born.

MATT MILLER (he/him)
senior development chemist
Matt has over 20 years’ experience in new product development and formulation of innovative cosmetic, therapeutic and beauty products.
His expertise across the personal care and therapeutic industries saw him presented ‘Innovative Product of the Year’ awards in 2014, 2017 and 2018 for his formulations.

PENELOPE KOURKOUMELIS (she/her)

Penny joined the skinterest team in early 2021 with over a decade of experience working with both cosmetics manufacturers and consumer brands.
Prior to coming on board Penny was the product development chemist for Nutrimetics Australia, across their skincare, colour and body care ranges.

Georgia recently earned a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Management) with Distinction, alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Microbiology.
Georgia is currently furthering her education with a Masters of Global Health/Infectious Disease Intelligence.

GEORGIA SOUTH (she/her)
marketing and client care
Georgia has spent her 20 year career in a variety of marketing, marketing operations and business development and support roles in the property and hospitality industry.
In 2021 she decided to follow her true passion for skincare and cosmetics and left her corporate marketing job to join the skinterest team. In her role she is responsible for client care, both marketing and business operations and you will occasionally see her on skinterest social media channels too!

research and development associate
Debra has a rich background and unique and invaluable skill set.
Her career has spanned roles as a Pharmacist, Compounding Pharmacist and Quality Assurance, specialising in pharmacy, medical, and personal care for a leading global retailer.
She has a deep understanding of the product lifecycle and formulation processes, making her an indispensable asset to clients and the team alike.

Area of expertise: Formulations for dermatological conditions
Career highlight: Helping with consumer safety with product recalls and/or root cause analysis, reformulation of product if necessary. Audits and risk assessment tool development across various industries.
